Honor Stars

Stars is a program in church, it is the most difficult program because have to do 27 badges and honor badges. You also have a choice to do 40 badges. I chose to do 40 badges because I need something else to do while the other girls caught up. You have to read a lesson and do 4 activity pages and memorize one memory verse for each unit, it sounds easy but it is not!

You stay in this program for three years and read the whole New Testament. You also to take a test, it is on the memory work you have done in the units (you are testing on the Bible verses).
you have to have at least a 70% on your test but a couple of girls including me made a 100%.

OK now the fun stuff! After you three years is stars you become an Honor Star, You have an award ceremony with all the other girls in your class. It is so fancy it is like a wedding. You wear a formal gown and long gloves and you get to pick out a crown. Your father walks you down the isale while a song of your choice and pictures of you are up on the screen. when you get up on stage you say your pledge and your pastor crowns you.

After the ceremony there is a reception. All of us girls (8) Preform a talent, I am going to sing. We have dancing and things like that at the reception. I think that it is a privilege being an honor star, not many girls get to do it ! Our honor star ceremony is next Saturday!

Be praying for one of the girls in my class, she is having eye surgery today and they are going to take the eye patch off for the ceremony, she is not supposed to take it off outside of her home, So pray that they make the right decision.

I also have a homeschool blog if you would like to look at it here
